LGBTQ+ and Allies - Expedition Bhutan
May 4 - 14 2025
Optional Bangkok Pre-Tour Experience
Plus optional Post-Tour Experiences such as Tibet, Nepal and India

On this expedition-ish journey, you will be connecting with Bhutanese and International folk from the LGBTQ+ community. You will travel with likeminded groups and share stories while hiking or enjoying a hot stone bath while taking in the beautiful scenery of Bhutan.
Bhutan is an authentic, open-minded and compassionate Buddhist country which supports its LGBTQ+ community. While a little slow on the uptake, same-sex sexual activity was decriminalized in Bhutan on 17 February 2021. You make think this recent, but Bhutan has only had Internet access since 1991.
We shall enjoy this freedom and celebrate our time in Bhutan with joy and peacefulness while exploring the rich culture and traditions. While travelling in Bhutan, you will learn about the concept of Gross National Happiness. Simply put, Bhutan genuinely puts its people first, only passing legislation that benefits the people and does not harm the environment.
While travelling and hiking you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with locals and members of the Bhutan LGBTQ+ community, which will deepen your understanding of Bhutan's culture and provide the meaningful journey of a lifetime.
