The smallest inhabited island in Hawaiʻi, Lanaʻi offers big enticements to its visitors. Only nine miles from Maui yet a world away, Lanaʻi can feel like two places.

Meet Anela Evans, a cultural practitioner from the island of Lanaʻi. Even for Hawaiʻi’s locals, not much is known about Lanaʻi except for its pineapple plantation past.
