Arranging your Documents

Bhutan protects its pristine environment by strictly regulating tourism. To enter Bhutan, you need a passport with at least six months validity from your date of entry, and a visa, issued ahead of time, from the Bhutanese government. You will also need to have your flights and itinerary arranged before submitting the visa application.

But, not to worry, all you will need to do is decide on your itinerary (we will help you with that), send a copy of your passport, and the fees and we will do the rest. When you arrive at Paro International Airport, you will be required to show your visa clearance letter and the visa will then be stamped into your passport (which, you have to admit, is a pretty cool stamp to have in your passport).

Our goal is to make your visit as simple as possible so all you need to do is enjoy this amazing country. If this seems confusing, it can be. But not to worry, Honu Adventures will walk you through every step as summarized below.

Here's a brief, five-step guide to booking your trip to Bhutan and obtaining a tourist visa.

  • Choose a tour company ... Done and done, we work with Gomo Adventures

  • We next work with you to customize your itinerary and based on your itinerary, we will calculate the cost of the tour and finalize the price with you.

  • This gets a little complicated, but next we must transfer the tour payment to Bhutan via an intermediary bank. However, Honu Adventures will receive your fees, and do the wiring and coordinating for you.

  • Upon receipt of your fees and passport copy, Gomo Adventures will complete your visa application with the Bhutan government.

  • Once the visa letter is created, we will email it to you, along with your Bangkok-Paro flight information, which you will need to check in for your flight to Bhutan.
